Welcome to my MFA Residency Portfolio, a collection reflecting the growth and evolution of my work during my graduate studies. In this series, I explore color, shape, and pattern while centering the beauty and presence of the Black female body. Inspired in part by the rich visual language of Gee’s Bend quilts, these works experiment with abstraction, body imagery, bold color relationships, and portraiture. Each piece represents a moment of exploration and discovery in my artistic development. The selected works featured here were exhibited at Azusa Pacific University during my residency, marking important milestones in my creative journey.
